Having trouble with your Frameship project? Here are all the common problems that may be causing issues.
"My banner is not disappearing, what could be the problem?"
Your banner will be appearing on the published website due to it not being properly connected to your project, or the license. Follow these steps carefully:
Make sure you have connected your Shopify store (or our demo Shopify store). You can do this at any time from within the plugin. You will see a yellow exclamation dot in your plugin if you have not connected one.
Ensure you have a paid license, and it is connected to that particular project.
The banner will appear until you have a paid license, however you can still use components as a trial while you build.
Licenses are one-per-project, so if you have connected the license to another project before, you will need to disconnect it and reconnect it in the new project.
If you have connected a custom domain after building, you need to make sure your license is attached to your new domain, not the original staging domain.
You can check this at any time from within the plugin settings, under 'Production URL'.
If the Production URL is different to your custom domain, the banner will appear as it is recognising a different website.
To reset this, disconnect both the license and the Shopify connection, then reconnect both.
1.0 components interfering with 2.0 components.
1.0 and 2.0 components do not work together. If you are using some from each, you will need to transfer all older components to their newer version. The best way to do this is from the plugin, as it will detect older components for you. Delete all, and then drag in the newer component directly from the plugin.
1.0 banner appearing alongside 2.0 banner.
If you are seeing banner/s and you are using 1.0 components, you may need to upgrade to 2.0 components. 1.0 components will not be receiving future updates, so if you are continually experiencing issues, the best course is to upgrade to 2.0 components. All 1.0 customers have immediate and free access to the newer basic components.
Make sure all components are kept up to date in your Assets panel.
We continually release new updates to our components, however Framer does not automatically components that are already in projects.
Make sure you are using the newest versions by continually checking your Assets tab. If there is an 'Update' label next to it, click to update and then republish your site.
"My license is not showing up in the plugin, where could it be?"
Once you purchase a license, it is automatically attached to the email you inputted at checkout. You will then need to log in to the Frameship plugin with that same email.
If you have not created an account, you can do so in the plugin.
If you have forgotten your password, there is an option to Reset Password in the plugin.
If you need to change your account email, please contact us directly.
"I cannot connect my Shopify store."
Make sure you watch this video carefully, as it explains how to create the API key.
The plugin can only connect to a 'myshopify.com' URL.
If you are still having issues, please contact us.
