Frameship 2.0 Update

Georgia Back
Nov 16, 2025
TL;DR
Complete rebuild, not an update.
2.0 components requires rebuild (migration guide included)
Major new features: multi-currency, customer accounts, variant images, filters, search, sort.
Superfields now integrated: powerful CMS filtering, catalog controls, and merchandising.
Faster sync, faster publishing, more reliable everything.
More features shortly after launch: subscriptions, bundles, discount codes, reviews, delivery-checker, social feeds.
BURN IT TO THE GROUND

Frameship 2.0 is here.
A complete rebuild designed to help you launch, scale, and run real Shopify stores inside Framer with the power and flexibility you’ve been asking for.
We heard you. ALL OF IT. Every "is this even possible?" question.
1.0 couldn't get there. The foundation wasn't built for what you were asking us to build.
So we made a call: BURN IT TO THE GROUND.
Frameship 2.0 - built to scale
Products, prices, variants, images, stock, it all syncs automatically and stays synced.

Here's what 2.0 unlocks:
Variant Selector (buttons, swatches, dropdowns)
Add to Cart, Buy Button, Quantity Input
Cart system (items, subtotal, actions—the whole thing)
Price, Inventory, Image Gallery, Catalog Item
Markets (currency + locale switching)
Powerful syncing that actually works
2.0 is not compatible with old sites
If you built a store using 1.0, you’ll need to rebuild it using the new components (2.0) to unlock the latest features. Please note that 1.0 and 2.0 components are completely separate and cannot be combined.
Your existing 1.0 store will continue to work if you choose not to update, and 1.0 is not being discontinued.
We’ve created a step-by-step migration video to help you through the upgrade process.
Important: To continue receiving support for your Frameship projects, please migrate by December 19.
Not a facelift. A complete rebuild.
One-time payment. While other competitors charge a literal arm and a leg on top of expecting you to pay for Framer and Shopify, we don't want that for you. Pay once. Own it.
Multi-currency and localization

This one has been one of the most-requested features on our roadmap.
Includes: Active Markets component, Market Dropdown, Country Flag, full locale support.
Let users browse in their own currency
Automatically switch based on location
Deliver market-specific pricing
Localize your catalogue layouts
Real filtering, search, and sort

Powered by Superfields. Live Shopify data. Build the catalog experience you actually want.
We integrated Superfields with Frameship so now you can access:
Dynamic filtering (price, category, tags, custom fields)
Live search across your entire catalog
Sort by price, name, date, popularity
Favorites and wishlists
All powered by your actual Shopify inventory
Customer accounts and order history

Login, past orders, loyalty programs, account details. All backed by Shopify’s native accounts.
Variant images

Variant color and variant images now work with your product gallery. Switch a variant, images update instantly. Buttons update too.
Why we're telling you this directly
Because we're not a faceless SaaS company hiding behind vague release notes and "we're excited to announce" emails. We're a small team building in public. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and we answer to you, not investors, not a board.
If you think we could be doing anything better or have ideas, DM us. Let's chat.
