How to Add Zoom Controls and 3D Buildings to a Framer Map

Map Controls & 3D Buildings

Navigation controls

Under Map → Controls, you can show a small cluster of buttons on the map for visitors to interact with:

  • Show - turns the whole control cluster on or off.

  • Position - which corner it sits in (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right).

  • Background / Icons - colors for the control buttons.

  • 3D View - button that tilts the map into a 3D angle.

  • Zoom - plus/minus zoom buttons.

  • Compass - lets visitors rotate the map back to north, or drag to rotate.

  • Locate Me - button that centers the map on the visitor's own location (asks for their permission first).

  • Fullscreen - button that expands the map to fill the screen.

Turn off any of these individually if you don't want them, or turn off Show to hide the whole cluster.

3D Buildings

Under Map → Buildings, you can turn on realistic 3D building shapes in cities:

  • Enabled - turns 3D buildings on or off.

  • Color - building color.

  • Opacity - how see-through the buildings are.

  • From zoom - how far a visitor needs to zoom in before buildings appear (buildings only make sense up close).
